Psychological Student Advisory Service

The psychological study counseling provides help and support for all study-related difficulties and personal concerns. In exam periods especially, the need for methods to cope with stress and strain is particularly important for successful studying. A variety of different forms of counseling are offered to cover the different problems and needs. Through coaching groups, individual counseling as well as online offerings, lectures are also given.

Counseling by the AStA (General Student Committee)

The AStA also offers assistance for students in the areas of BAföG, social counseling, general study questions or tenant counseling. In addition, counseling is provided for women and parents (anonymously), international students, and students who have doubts about their studies. The conversations can be held in German as well as in English.

Counseling by the Studierendenwerk (Association for Student Affairs)

The Studierendenwerk is another contact point for students for support and psychological counseling. A team of three psychologists provides counseling free of charge, also in both German and English. Consultations can take place online or in person by appointment.
