Promotion of Women at the Department of Business and Economics

Mentoring@WiWi

The Mentoring@WiWi program seeks primarily to promote the academic careers of women through mentoring relationship tandems. It is aimed at female bachelor and master students, (post-)doctoral students and assistant professors of the Department of Business and Economics at TU Dortmund University.

Content of Mentoring Program

The Mentoring@WiWi program offers support in the following areas:

  • Individual mentoring: In confidential one-on-one meetings, mentees can discuss specific topics with their mentors and benefit from their wealth of experience and networks. They receive individual support in strategic career planning in science. The scientists can sharpen their leadership and scientific profile and work out their career-relevant competencies.
  • Group meetings: In regular inter-departmental group meetings, mentees and mentors can exchange experiences, support each other and form peer groups. The highlight of the regular meetings is a guest lecture by an outstanding female scientist.
  • Financial support: The program offers the possibility to apply for financial support for conference travel, workshops, training and short research stays.
