International Networking in times of Corona - reloaded

The Professorship for Technology Management offered participants of the Bachelor-level course „International Business“ a very special opportunity, for the second time this year. On November 17, 2021, they could attend once more a „Virtual Intercultural Workshop“ together with students of the „Operations Management“ course at Westminster College, Salt Lake City, UT, USA.

Moderated by Prof. Alysse Morton, PhD, and Katrin Bauer, 55 participants (of which 35 came from the TU!) from both institutions discussed a task on „ culture-specific views on supply chains in the music industry “ as well as trending topics such as studying in times of Corona on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. To make the most out of the virtual discussion, the students prepared questions that they have long been wishing for to be answered by their „counterparts“. Besides adding on their knowledge in intercultural matters, networking was a major focus of the event. Our students already shared with us that they connected to Westminster students right after the event, follow each others on Instagram etc. The call for repetition was already made clear during the first event. On the Westminster side there even were two students who participated at the workshop for a second round, as they took such a great experience away from the first session in January.
