Successful Completion of the Cross-university PhD Course Unit on "Designing Experimental Studies"
As part of the cross-university PhD course “Research Methods in Information Systems” between TU Dortmund University, Ruhr University Bochum and the University of Duisburg-Essen, JProf. Mario Nadj successfully held the course unit on “Designing Experimental Studies”.
The course unit focused on key decisions in designing and conducting experiments. Participants gained clear insight into the usefulness of experiments, the basics of experimental design, and “best practices” for conducting experiments. The goal was to develop an understanding of the logic behind an experiment as well as provide ideas and practical advice for conducting experiments. The course unit was offered in an interactive manner and included examples from current research to enhance both conceptual knowledge and practical application of experimental research.
