Contributions to the Strategic Management Society Annual Conference in Istanbul

Professorship for Strategic Management and Leadership participated in this year’s conference in various roles

The Professorship for Strategic Management and Leadership took part in this year’s Strategic Management Society conference in Istanbul. The theme of the conference was “Strategic Management of Fault Lines, Contradictions, and Divergences”. At the conference, leading researchers in the field of strategic management from around the world presented and discussed the latest research results and implications for managers and organizations.

The members of the professorship participated in the conference in various roles. Prof. Dr. Graf-Vlachy was a mentor in a paper development workshop for the Strategic Leadership and Governance Interest Group and provided feedback on junior scholars’ current research projects. Annika Götz, together with Friederike Hawighorst (University of Passau), presented current research findings on the impact of CEO ingratiation processes on the interactions with analysts. Skylar Wan presented recent results on the alignment of director expertise and board involvement. In addition, Tom Pütz discussed his research on innovation decoupling in two paper development workshops and was awarded a prize for the best research idea together with his team during one workshop.
