Juniorprofessor Dr. Mario Nadj has held the junior professorship Business & Information Systems Engineering since September 01, 2022.
Prior to his appointment in Dortmund, Mario Nadj was Head of Area for the field of Intelligent Enterprise Systems and Postdoc at the Institute of Information Systems and Marketing at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where he also completed his doctoral studies and already held two substitute professorships.
In his research, Mario Nadj focuses on the exploration, design, and evaluation of digital technologies in order to actively shape the future of work. Design-oriented and empirical research methods are used for this purpose. His research is located at the intersection of Information Systems and Human-Computer Interaction and focuses on three research areas: (1) Business Intelligence & Analytics, (2) Physiological Computing, and (3) Interactive & Explainable Machine Learning. His work in these areas has been published in high-impact international journals such as Decision Support Systems and IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing.
