Navigating Student Life
Coaching Groups
In the second half of the semester, the Psychological Counseling Service offers coaching groups and workshops designed to help students prepare for the exam period. In small groups, participants work with psychologists on individual challenges related to their studies. Topics include procrastination, stress, and exam anxiety.
First-Year Students
The lecture series “Right from the Start” supports first-year students as they begin their studies. The focus is on learning strategies, time management, and practical tips for daily student life. Organizational questions—such as those regarding BAföG, scholarships, or orientation at the university—are also addressed.
Writing Workshop
The w.space writing workshop offers support with academic writing and presenting. The program is aimed at students and doctoral candidates—regardless of whether German is their first, second, or foreign language—and also includes support for English-language papers.
(we) care for you – PSB event days
The “(we) care for you” event days focus on topics such as performance pressure, conflict avoidance, and burnout in social professions. In workshops led by psychologists, participants explore questions such as how to deal with emotions, how to communicate effectively, and how to build social connections in everyday student life.
