Applied Economics: Provides advanced knowledge of modern macroeconomics. The focus is on the analysis of dynamic equilibrium models, the application of econometric methods and the evaluation of quantitative models of business cycle analysis. The ability to work independently on current research questions in monetary economics and economic policy is promoted.

Macroeconomics: Provides a comprehensive examination of key issues in macroeconomic development. Topics range from long-term growth drivers and causes of wealth inequality, the role of government fiscal policy and the dynamics of regional developments to current challenges such as sustainability and limits to growth.
Microeconomics: Provides an in-depth understanding of individual decision-making and market processes. From game theory, which analyzes strategic behavior, to the empirical study of markets and consumer behavior, the content covers a wide range of topics.
Economic policy: The focus is on current economic policy challenges, particularly in the area of labor market economics. Topics covered include wage formation, human capital and technological change. Methodologically, the focus is on the analysis of company and employee data. Independent work on your own research projects plays a central role.
Economic statistics: Provides a solid foundation in quantitative methods in the context of economic research questions.
The study profile combines scientific approaches with real questions and data sets. The independent application of software tools as well as theoretical and statistical methods is encouraged. Students develop the necessary technical skills for a successful career as well as the ability to generate and communicate scientific findings.
