Presentation of the Teaching Innovation Award 2023/2024

The student representatives of the Committee for Improving the Quality of Teaching have announced the winners of the Teaching Innovation Award 2023/2024 in the categories"Practical Relevance", "Internationalization" and "E-Learning". The awards went to:

in the area of practical relevance: Dr Bastian Kindermann, Tristan Schumacher, Prof. Dr Tessa Flatten for the Master's course "Strategic Technology and Innovation Management". The teaching concept of the course is impressive due to the direct application of teaching content to current, practice-relevant topics, particularly in the area of sustainability. Optional examinations include lectures followed by discussions on the solution of complex problems and the development of innovative ideas based on selected start-ups.
in the field of internationalisation: JProf. Dr. Simon Hensellek and Jonah Weißwange for the Master's course "International Coworking and Entrepreneurial Management". The course promotes intercultural exchange and practical learning by having students work together in international teams from Germany, France, the Czech Republic and Austria in coworking spaces.
in the area of e-learning: Prof. Dr Anja Fischer for the Bachelor's course "Entscheidungsmodelle". A hybrid teaching concept is offered in which lectures and exercises can be followed both in person and live via Zoom. Tutorials take place in person and digitally, with digital tutorials being uploaded to Moodle. This enables students to have a personalised learning experience and makes it easier to prepare for exams.

The department extends its sincere congratulations to the award winners and encourages all department members to bring suitable courses to the attention of the QVM Commission for the Teaching Innovation Award 2024/2025. Proposals or applications should be sent by email.
