Presentation of the Faculty Awards 2008

On July 15, 2009, the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences awarded faculty prizes for the best junior researchers and lecturers in the faculty for the first time. During the ceremony, prizes were first awarded to the three best young researchers. This was followed by the award for the best dissertation. Due to the outstanding achievements of the three candidates, three first prizes were awarded in this category. The prize winners in the categories of best young researcher and best dissertation received their prizes from their supervisors, who did not want to miss the opportunity to say a few personal words about the prize winners and their work.

The awards for the best courses in the summer semester 2008 and winter semester 2008/2009 were presented by the two heads of the student council, Jasmin Ulrich and Claudia Kawecki, on behalf of the students who voted for the best courses. The ceremony was rounded off by three piano pieces by Professor Wolfgang B. Schünemann, which he performed between the individual categories. Following the award ceremony, the winners were given the opportunity to toast their achievements with their families and friends at a reception.
