New Publication in Information Systems Journal

New publication at the TIE Institute: the research article "FinTechs Playing in the Regulatory Sandbox-The Effect of Interacting Signals on Funding" by Bastian Kindermann, Marko Kraljev and Tessa Flatten was published in the Information Systems Journal.

The study examines how regulatory sandbox membership affects the financing of FinTechs and how additional signals - such as entrepreneurial orientation and company size - interact with this effect. The authors conclude that while sandbox membership improves financing outcomes, emphasizing a strong entrepreneurial profile can diminish this advantage. Our findings advance research on the signaling strategy of FinTechs and suggest that they should emphasize their banking side over their entrepreneurial, growth-oriented side when communicating with potential investors.
