Welcome JProf. Dr. Max Pflitsch

JProf. Dr. Max Pflitsch has held the Junior Professorship of International Business Taxation since August 1, 2024.

Prior to his appointment in Dortmund, Max Pflitsch was a postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Prior to his doctorate at the University of Cologne, he studied at the University of Bonn and the University of Ottawa, Canada. During his doctoral and postdoctoral studies, he completed research stays at the Business School of the University of Wisconsin Madison, USA.

Max Pflitsch's research focuses on

  1. issues of international corporate taxation and tax avoidance,
  2. the evaluation of tax reforms, and
  3. interdisciplinary issues, for example at the interface between taxation and accounting.

His work in these areas has been published in high-ranking international journals such as the National Tax Journal. He has also presented his research findings at numerous international conferences.
