Farewell to Professor Nadj

Juniorprofessor Mario Nadj takes up a professorship at the University of Duisburg-Essen on 01.10.2024.

After two years as professor for Business & Information Systems Engineering, Professor Nadj is leaving the Department of Business Administration and Economics to take up an appointment at the University of Duisburg-Essen.

Prior to his time in Dortmund, Mario Nadj was Head of Area for Intelligent Enterprise Systems and a postdoc at the Institute for Information Systems and Marketing at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

In his research, Mario Nadj focuses on the exploration, design and evaluation of digital technologies to actively shape the future of work. His work is located at the interface between business informatics and human-computer interaction and focuses on three research areas: (1) Business Intelligence & Analytics, (2) Physiological Computing and (3) Interactive & Explainable Machine Learning. His work in these areas has been published in high-ranking international journals.

In teaching, Mr. Nadj introduced students to the topics of Artificial Intelligence and Interactive Intelligent Systems.
