Graduation Ceremony 2026

Department Congratulates its Graduates!

Around 80 graduates of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in Business Administration and Economics celebrated the successful completion of their studies on 22 May 2026 in the large lecture hall of the Seminar Room Building. Together with family members, fellow students and members of the department, they looked back on their time at the university and celebrated this important milestone.

The ceremony was opened with welcoming remarks by the Dean of the department, Professor Dr. Christiane Pott. A representative of the department’s student council (Fachschaftsrat) also extended congratulations to the graduates.

The keynote address of the evening was delivered by WP/StB Melina Elsner, Senior Manager and authorized signatory at KPMG Germany. In her speech, she shared insights from her professional experience and offered the graduates personal reflections and advice for their future careers.

A highlight of the evening was the ceremonial presentation of the certificates to the Bachelor and Master of Science graduates by the department's Vice Dean of Studies, Professor Dr. Jens Rowold.

At the end of the ceremony, the Alumni Club for the department —represented by its Chairman David Baumeister and Karolin Schulte, Head of the Office—invited the graduates to remain connected with the department through alumni membership. The ceremony was accompanied by lively music from Eddie Arndt of the Rawsome Delights.

During the reception that followed, guests had plenty of opportunity for conversation and networking. Many graduates also took the opportunity to take commemorative photos in front of the university while holding their certificates.
