Scholarship options for international students and doctoral candidates

The International Office offers various DAAD scholarships aimed at international students and doctoral candidates. These include

DAAD scholarship for more equal opportunities

This scholarship is aimed at international students and doctoral candidates with special challenges (e.g. disability, refugee background or special care situations).

  • Funding amount: up to €934 per month for Bachelor's and Master's students, up to €1,300 for doctoral students
  • Funding duration: up to 12 months

DAAD Graduation Scholarship

This scholarship supports international students and doctoral candidates who are in financial need during their final phase through no fault of their own.

  • Funding amount: up to €934 per month for students, up to €1,300 for doctoral candidates
  • Funding period: from the time of registration for the processing time of the thesis, usually 1 to 3 months for Bachelor students, 1 to 6 months for Master and doctoral students

DAAD scholarship for particularly committed students

This scholarship supports international students and doctoral candidates who distinguish themselves through their commitment in an international context at TU Dortmund University, e.g. through their own project or initiative.

  • Funding amount: up to €934 per month for students and doctoral candidates
  • Funding period: 3 to 6 months

The application deadline for funding in the current year is November 1.
