Students and doctoral candidates from our department once again participated in this year’s Erasmus Blended Intensive Program on “Accounting for Sustainable Transition.” The group was accompanied by Prof. Christiane Pott from the Professorship of International Accounting and Auditing.

Following a digital preparation phase, the programme brought participants together for five intensive days in Vieste on Italy’s Adriatic coast. The focus was on international perspectives on sustainable transformation, accounting, and corporate reporting.

It is particularly worth noting that Prof. Pott was able to bring her daughter along during the stay, with support provided through corresponding DAAD funding — an important contribution to making international mobility more family-friendly.

Students and teaching staff from the following partner universities were represented:

  • Erasmus University Rotterdam
  • University of Münster
  • TU Dortmund University
  • University of Agder
  • University of Seville
  • University of Castilla-La Mancha
  • Polytechnic of Leiria
  • University of Foggia

The program was complemented by contributions from industry experts and practitioners. The stay was funded by Erasmus+.

We are delighted about the successful international exchange and the valuable insights the participants were able to take away from Vieste.
