From venture operator to investor: an exciting entrepreneurial journey!

In our recent "Introduction to Entrepreneurship" lecture, we had the privilege of welcoming a special guest speaker to share his unique story: Dr. Nils Eiteneyer, Partner at Capnamic.

Nils took us behind the scenes of his career, offering candid insights into his individual entrepreneurial journey and his transition into the venture capital world.

He shared his diverse experiences, from co-founding the boutique accelerator xdeck and scaling sustainable lifestyle brands, to his current role as a VC investor at Capnamic. His story was a powerful example of how operational startup experience and firsthand knowledge of scaling a business can translate into successfully funding and supporting early-stage ventures.

The Q&A session quickly evolved into a deep dive into the "investor’s mindset" and the critical factors that make a startup truly venture-backable. It was a unique opportunity for our students to bridge the gap between academic theory and the high-stakes reality of fundraising, leaving the room with a much clearer roadmap of how to navigate the transition from a bold idea to a scalable company.
