In the context of this year's Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AoM), the paper "The Home of the Unicorn: Digital Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Necessity Levels and Venture Growth" was presented by Julius de Groot. The AoM is the most important international conference for management and the participation thus contributes to the international visibility of TU Dortmund University. This year, the Annual Meeting was held in Boston, USA, from August 4-8.

The paper by Prof. Simon Hensellek, Julius de Groot and Tim Haarhaus examines local entrepreneurial ecosystems and their impact relationships with entrepreneurial outputs. For the analysis, the research team used fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA), which was complemented by Necessary Condition Analysis (NCA).
