On 17.11.23, together with our cooperation partner KPMG, we welcomed committed Master's students to our professorship for a workshop on sustainability reporting.
In "Get Ready For ESG Reporting - Practical Implementation of Sustainability Reporting Requirements", we discussed the opportunities and challenges that many companies face now and in the near future in non-financial reporting as a result of the new CSRD. Dr. Melina Heilmann, former PhD student at our chair, Nejat Toker and Ipek Arkaya, all KPMG experts in accounting, process advisory and ESG reporting, provided valuable insights on how to define necessary structures and appropriate systems for CSRD materiality assessments. Relevant know-how in the field of ESG reporting is not only essential nowadays, but also career-enhancing for young talents. The integration and linking of sustainability and digitalization topics in business studies is therefore all the more important. We look forward to continuing to offer courses on sustainability in cooperation with KPMG in the future.
