Guest Lecture by Susanne Aghassi (Saint-Gobain)

Saint-Gobain is one of the leading companies in the construction and materials industry and is driving the transformation toward greater sustainability with innovative solutions. At the German research site, pioneering technologies are being developed that provide important impulses for the future of material innovation.
In her lecture, Susanne Aghassi offered our students fascinating insights into technology management at the German research center. She illustrated how a globally operating corporation systematically identifies and assesses technological trends and transforms them into market-ready solutions. Particularly interesting were her explanations of the interaction between research, business, and industrial production – an essential factor for successful innovation at Saint-Gobain.
The students actively engaged in the discussion and especially appreciated the practical examples and the clear communication provided by Ms. Aghassi. The many questions during the lecture highlighted the strong interest in practical applications of technology management.
We sincerely thank Susanne Aghassi for her valuable contribution and her willingness to share her practical expertise with us. The lecture was a highly enriching addition to our series – we look forward to welcoming her again soon!
