Guest lecture by Dr. Christian Sprinkmeyer (tonies)
As part of our “Technology and Innovation Management” lecture series, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Christian Sprinkmeyer, Chief Product Officer (CPO) of tonies, as a guest speaker at the Technical University of Dortmund.
Tonies, headquartered in Düsseldorf, has become the world's largest audio interaction platform for children. The company is revolutionizing the way children experience and listen to stories, relying on innovative technologies and creative content. In front of around 300 students, Dr. Sprinkmeyer presented his career and the stages in his career that ultimately led him to tonies. He shared valuable insights into his personal experiences and explained how to successfully build a start-up. He did not shy away from talking about the challenges that have accompanied him along the way.
The lively participation of the students was particularly remarkable. Numerous questions were asked during his talk, which underlined the interactive nature of the lecture and showed how much interest there is in the topics of entrepreneurship and innovation.
We would like to thank Dr. Christian Sprinkmeyer for his inspiring lecture and the open insights into his professional journey. His visit was a valuable addition to our lecture series and certainly encouraged many students to pursue their own ideas and projects with renewed enthusiasm.
