The Junior Professorship for Entrepreneurship and Digitalization presented a research paper on gender homophily at the Australasian Consortium for Entrepreneurship Research Excellence (ACERE) 2026 Conference, which was held this year at the University of Sydney.

The focus was on the paper “Catalyst or Constraint? Exploring How the Gender of Angel Investors Affects Securing Venture Capital Funding.” This study examines how gender homophily between founders and angel investors affects subsequent venture capital financing rounds.

The research paper was presented by Torben Nübel on 12 February 2026.
