The paper "FinTechs Playing in the Sandbox - The Effect of Interacting Signals on Funding" by Marko Kraljev, Prof. Flatten and Dr. Kindermann was included in the Proceedings of the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) 2021 (VHB: A).

The paper examines the new concept of "Regulatory Sandboxes". Regulatory Sandboxes offer new financial technology ventures (FinTechs) the opportunity to test their products/services with the regulator before entering the market. Among other things, the paper shows that FinTechs joining a Regulatory Sandbox improves access to capital. The other results can be found in the paper.
