New Equal Opportunities Concept Adopted

The TU Dortmund University Senate has enacted the department's equal opportunities concept for the years 2022-2026.

The concept underlines the importance the department attaches to equality and diversity. The department and science in general thrive on discourse and diverse perspectives. All members of the department should be able to develop and contribute their individual skills regardless of, for example, their origin, a physical impairment or their gender.

Women are still underrepresented in some areas of the department . The equal opportunities concept describes measures to reduce such imbalances over the next five years. Central pillars are the promotion of conference and workshop travel as well as the new program Mentoring@Wiwi which has recently started.
