Welcome JProf. Dr. Gimenez Jimenez!

JProf. Dr. Gimenez Jimenez has held the Junior Professorship Entrepreneurship since April 1, 2021.

Dr. Daniela Gimenez Jimenez was a postdoctoral researcher and doctoral coordinator at the Chair for Corporate Sustainability at the Technische Universität München (TUM School of Management, Germany). Before this position, she was a doctoral student at the Universität Witten/Herdecke (Germany). Her doctoral thesis focused on women entrepreneurs and women in family businesses. During her doctoral thesis, she was visiting scholar at Bentley University (United States), where she studied advanced quantitative methods. Daniela studied economics at the Universidad de Carabobo (Venezuela), where she originally comes from. Then, she moved to Spain and did her Master's Research in Entrepreneurship and Management at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). Before joining academia, she worked for several years as a consultant in several firms.

Her work has been published in international journals, such as Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Small Business Economics, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, and Journal of International Entrepreneurship. She is regularly presenting her research at international conferences as well as a reviewer of several journals. She has been awarded in the 2018 Academy of Management Research Conference for best paper in the Entrepreneurship Track as well as nominated for the best paper at the 2017 Diana Research Conference. She dedicates her research to entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship for sustainable development as well as women’s entrepreneurship.
